Matthew Tucker,

I grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and now live in the city itself. I’ve always loved both environments for different reasons and fortunately my work as a realtor allows me to step foot into both each day. I was running around on client appointments when I arrived at 795 Darby Paoli Road.  The house sits at the end of a ¼ mile long driveway and near Darby Creek.  The only noise you can hear when you get out of your car is the sound of water flowing.

The house itself was once part of the original Radnor Hunt Club and has been transformed in the years since.  The owners who raised three children there are (reluctantly) ready to downsize. In the past two years, they have made upgrades to nearly everything. In addition, the large great room is ideal for entertaining (as are the grounds which according to the owner are not expensive to maintain.  They spend $60/week in warm months.) The bedrooms are each distinct in their own way. The master seems to sit in the treetops allowing for extra privacy.  An additional space off the master is ideal as an office or nursery. Two of the bedrooms upstairs share a living space.  And, a downstairs room off the dining room can be another family room or guest bedroom.

When it was time to leave, I sat in my car for a bit to enjoy the property’s serenity before the rest of the crazy day.
